The Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen and the Grand Coral Riviera Maya are only a one-hour flight from Miami, and four hours from New York. Cancún International Airport, only a two-hour flight from México City, is the main gateway to the Riviera Maya. The coastal highway, which runs from the city of Cancún to Tulum, and another highway that runs from Tulum to Cobá are the main roads for getting to the Riviera Maya by car. Playa del Carmen has ferry service to Cozumel Island.
